The Real Death Valley Film Screening

On March 25, 2024, Thacher STFers hosted a Friday movie night and discussion. “The Real Death Valley” inspired students to continue their advocacy for asylum seekers on the southern border. The chapter plans to host a table event to collect more petition signatures to mail in to Congresswoman Julia Brownley.

Environmental Justice in Los Angeles

Over multiple days in April, STFers at Hamilton HS spread climate awareness to 6 classes, reaching over 120 students. They presented on Human Rights and the Climate Crisis, environmental justice in Los Angeles and around the world, and renewable energy. Participants played a Kahoot game, won prizes, and signed the chapter’s petition to transition their campus to 100% renewable energy, bringing their total signature count to 411!
