Robert Walker is a social studies teacher for the William S. Hart Union District. He has developed and implemented two independent courses in human rights and racism for his district, and has worked for the integration of human rights lessons and textbooks in the social studies class at Academy of the Canyons Middle College.

This course creates a companion course to the revised Human Rights in the 20th Century curriculum, satisfies student desire for more courses related to human rights and social consciousness, and furthers the District’s goal of encouraging awareness and respect for diversity in our community, nation and world.
