Wildwood EMUS Campaign photo competition.

February 11, 2014: Wildwood School’s STF chapter successfully ran a school-wide promotion of the End Military Use of Schools (EMUS) Campaign. With a goal to educate their campus and collect photos, Wildwood STF created a video that explained the background of this pressing human rights violation. Once the school community was intrigued and informed, the STF chapter introduced the “EMUS Epic Competition.” Each high school advisory was paired up with a middle school advisory. The groups brainstormed original slogans that portrayed powerful messages about the campaign and took photos to be submitted for the event. Advisories were graded on the originality of their slogans and the creativity of their photos and the winners won an advisory breakfast prepared by STF.

Not only did this activity contribute to the overall EMUS campaign and its presence on campus, but it also brought the Wildwood community together in an interactive and engaging way. Congrats Wildwood STF!
